After the monsoon season we just had, summer is finally here...and we are diving in head-first. We went camping with a group of people we adore, and celebrated Zoe's 8th birthday.
The scent of sunblock and campfires filled the air. The soundtrack? Splashes, crickets, late night giggles and the click of tiny flashlights.
I woke up the next morning and took a moment to glance over at Zoe and Ella, still asleep. My heart was filled with gratitude that this smart, beautiful babe—whose life has been turned upside down recently—found joy with all of us as we surrounded her with warmth and light.

Threadless
This "naked" thing has gotten out of hand. It's one thing to strip down in your own home, but now Carson is embracing his inner streaker in a whole new way. He has no scruples regarding the company he's in...if the place makes him feel free, the clothes and diaper are gone...and so is he.
We had been at the Blanfords for about half an hour when he giggled, stripped down, and tore through Denny and Brenda's beautiful garden without a thread on. We laughed for minute...but then all just stared in amazement as he worked out a little primal dance, running through the grass with all his little boy-parts flailing free in the wind.
